EMERGENCY SIGNS
Fire signs are an essential safety measure so that in emergency situations it is easier to evacuate a building and locate fire-fighting equipment. Thus, it is essential that in buildings that have a large movement of people (public buildings, companies, factories, etc.) there is adequate signage.
There are 4 types of Fire Signs:
• Alert: signals flammable and explosive materials;
• Equipment Location: signals locations where flame detection and fire fighting equipment are located;
• Guidance and Rescue: signals evacuation routes and exits from the building;
• Prohibition: prohibits certain dangerous behaviors.
Complementary signs such as Risks in Exit Routes may also appear, indicating obstacles along the same route, such as steps, pillars, etc. .
